Museum Discoveries
The Museum of Discovery is one of the most highly rated and most visited museums in downtown Little Rock. This family-friendly museum has several exhibit halls that explore subjects like the human body, planet earth, physics and engineering, and extreme weather. With many hands-on activities, the entire family is sure to be entertained and learn a lot.

One of only three museums like it in the world, the ESSE Purse Museum and Store tells more than just the history of this everyday accessory. Visitors will get a unique take on the evolution of the 20th century American woman through the struggles and accomplishments she has fought through and achieved throughout the decades.

On the Riverfront
The River Market District has all kinds of fun attractions the whole family can enjoy outside. At Riverfront Park you can get wet at the splash park, see a show at the outdoor amphitheater, admire the artwork at the sculpture garden, or just take a picturesque walk down the park trails and nature center.
You can still enjoy the River Market District even if you don’t want to spend the day outside. The River Market Pavilions are a covered, open-air market where visitors can buy foods and goods from local vendors. If you’re traveling without kids, there are restaurants and stores you can visit during the day and a number of bars and clubs for fun at night!
