Poe Places
When you’re in Baltimore and want the Poe experience on a budget, start your trip at the late poet’s grave site and memorial. While originally unmarked and overgrown with weeds, Poe’s grave now stands 80-inches high and has his birth date noted (albeit a day late) as January 20, 1809. While you’re at it, you can visit other Poe places around town such as his old homes, places he won literary prizes, and the hospital he died in.
For all the true Edgar Allan Poe fans dying to splurge a little, you can always spring for admission to visit the Poe House and Museum where it’s believed many of his stories were written.

Book Festival at Baltimore Inner Harbor
With the city being home to so much great literature, each fall the Baltimore Book Festival brings authors and readers together for a weekend full of panel discussions, walking tours, live music, workshops, readings, and so much more. You can explore the festival free of charge or splurge at the book tent and get the best of the best to keep you entertained on your bus trip.

The Arts
Ask just about anyone and they'll tell you that if you walk into the American Visionary Art Museum you will leave inspired. The work inside is created by self-taught artists so the pieces are anything but ordinary. The museum is open 24/7 and is 100% free. Plus, the exterior of the building is almost as cool as the inside!

For the more traditional art enthusiasts in your group, the Baltimore Museum of Art is home to the internationally renowned Cone Collection as well as the largest collection of Henri Matisse works in the world.
