Need to cancel your trip or travel another day? Here's how to change your tickets if you change your plans.
Exchanges
Plans changed? No worries. You can easily change your ticket up to 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time of the bus.
How to exchange your ticket
Log into Manage My Booking with your booking number (found on your email confirmation) and the email address/phone number you used to purchase your ticket. You can instantly cancel/refund your ticket and use the remaining value towards your new ticket between the same origin and destination cities. See our cancellation policy. If the cost of the new ticket is lower, the difference will be returned to you in the form of a voucher. If the cost of the new ticket is higher, the difference in fare must be paid. Please note: drivers nor our Customer Service team can modify your ticket for you prior to the scheduled departure.
Other things you need to know
Extras: Note that any extras you previously purchased such as seat reservations or extra baggage will not be automatically transferred to the new trip. The price of these will be applied as a credit to the new ticket and refunded as a voucher (when applicable).
Refunds
You can cancel your ticket up to 15 minutes prior to departure and instantly get a refund of the fare paid, less applicable cancellation fees, in the form of a voucher which you can use on a future trip anywhere in our growing, International bus/train network. How to cancel your ticket
Log in to Manage My Booking with your booking number (found on your email confirmation) and the email address/phone number you used to purchase your ticket. Complete the easy cancelation process.
You will immediately receive your voucher for the fare paid, less applicable cancellation fees, via email. The voucher is valid for 12 months anywhere in our growing, International bus/train network, has no cash value and cannot be sold. However, the voucher can certainly be gifted to friends/family. Please treat the resulting voucher code as you would cash!
Refunds due to delayed service
We’re sorry if you didn’t reach your destination on time. Delays are often due to circumstances beyond bus operators' control such as traffic congestion, accidents, construction projects, detours and weather. Rest assured, bus operators are tasked with operating all rides safely and as close to schedule as possible. We send trip delay updates via text message (provided a mobile number was entered when booking), push notifications (if subscribed via the FlixBus/Greyhound app) as well as email as soon as we know about the delay.
If your bus was delayed by 120 minutes or more from the original point of departure, you will be informed of your ability to withdraw from the trip and claim a voucher refund for the price of the ticket or the opportunity to rebook to an alternate trip (for free.) However, if you choose to take the trip with the delay, please understand that no refund is possible. Still have questions? Contact us and fill out the request.
