A Rich History
The California Theatre of the Performing Arts (also known simply as the California Theatre) was built in the late 1920s, just a few years after route 66 was established and the building hasn’t changed much since then. You can take a tour of this historical landmark, or even catch a show! It is still a working theatre that hosts many touring acts and performances throughout the year.

Driving in a car down Route 66 wasn’t the only way to get to and from San Bernardino, it was also a main Southern Pacific Railroad depot. The San Bernardino History and Railroad Museum displays the full history of not only the depot but also the city of San Bernardino. Take a walk through the beautiful building that still has its early 20th century mission-style architecture and learn what southern California life was like in the early 1900s.

If you are a fast-food fan, make sure to visit the Original McDonald’s Museum. Richard and Maurice McDonald established the first Micky D’s in San Bernardino in the 1940s. You can see a ton of McDonald’s memorabilia throughout the fast-food chain’s history including mascots, signage, menus, and more Happy Meal toys than you can count!

Cheer on the Home Team
At San Manuel Stadium( you can root for the hometown minor league baseball team, the Inland Empire 66ers. This open-air stadium is the perfect place to soak up the California sun while enjoying America’s favorite pastime.
