Our fleet

We've been busy upgrading our fleet to make your journey more comfortable, safe and eco-friendly.

Meet our shiny, new Greyhound fleet

Our U.S fleet has five bus models, with more than 1,100 buses in total.
Over the past few years, we've been busy upgrading our fleet – more than 95% of our buses are now either brand new or recently refurbished inside and out. And they don't just look new... we've added a bunch of extra features on board to make your ride with us even better, like free Wi-Fi, extra legroom, onboard entertainment and power outlets.

Take a virtual tour inside the bus and check out all the features on board.

Outstanding safety record (not to brag or anything)

Safety is a big deal for us. For more than ten years, we’ve received the highest possible safety rating from the Department of Transportation after every compliance check.

We took an industry-leading step in 2009 when we installed three-point safety belts on all of our new buses – ahead of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s ruling, which didn't require this until 2016.

In addition to the three-point safety belts, 100% of our buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts, to accommodate passengers who are traveling in a wheelchair.

Greener engines & lower emissions

All our engines meet the latest Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon emissions. And our fuel-efficiency means that every Greyhound bus generates just 1/3 of the carbon dioxide per passenger per mile than a hybrid vehicle (and even less if we're talking gasoline cars).
Now, if you consider that we're driving passengers over 5 billion miles a year, that adds up to... a lot less carbon dioxide!
