    Summerfest will celebrate 50 years of the golden tradition of bringing the world to Milwaukee to rock out at Henry Maier Festival on the shores of Lake Michigan. This year’s celebration of summer will include posters, banners, and vintage memorabilia for festival goers and fans to explore the history of Summerfest, from its ‘founding fathers’ to revisiting some of the iconic performances from the past.

    There is no shortage of food at Summerfest, every year the festival releases a list of anticipated food and beverage vendors who are ready to sell and promote some of their most exclusive dishes. Last year some of the specialties included a deep-friend old -fashioned from Trinity Three Irish Pub, Falafel Curry Tacos from Vegabond, Prime Rib Chili Cheese Tater Tots from Ward’s House of Prime, and many more.     Even if you’re planning on stepping away from the festival a bit and visit some attractions around Milwaukee, you can take a visit to the Harley- Davidson Museum, or the Mitchell Park Conservatory aka “The Domes”.

    The 11 days of Summerfest are filled with a musical with over 800 acts and 1000 performances, so it’s basically impossible to leave this festival without having some amazing experiences. Some of the headlines include, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Deerhoof, Luke Bryan, Pink, The Chainsmokers, Future, and many more.

  2. 2Essences Festival

    JUNE 29-JULY 2, 2017

    Essence Festival is where music and empowerment collide to provide the perfect party with a purpose. The daytime activities are held in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and the party begins upon entry. Free empowerment sessions, sponsored interactive activity booths, the nights are spent at the Louisiana Superdome, and the party and over 30 artists hit the stage of the span of 3 days. 
    Pack your bags and get ready to head to the “Big Easy” for Essence festival, also known as The Party with A Purpose.

    There’s no shortage of good grub in New Orleans and you can find some of the city’s finest restaurants all in one place. Essence knows the eats are important! The festival offers some of favorite dishes from the city, there is a designated area for food vendors in both the Superdome and the convention center, so you can chow down during the daytime sessions and the nighttime parties.

    There are so many things to experience in one weekend that there’s an app for that. The daytime destinations are full of stargazing and freebies, motivational speakers such as Iyanla Vanzant, Congresswoman Maxine Water and Academy Award Nominee Ava DuVernay. The artist lineup includes Diana Ross, John Legend, Mary J Blige, Chance the Rapper, Solange, Chaka Khan and many more.

  3. 3Wawa Welcome America Festival

    JUNE 29-JULY 4, 2017

    Step away from the grill and fireworks, Wawa Welcome America is inviting you Philadelphia to “Celebrate America’s birthday in America’s birthplace”. For seven straight days, June 27th – July 4th, there will be viewing parties, free concerts, a parade, a party on the parkway, and host of other patriotic events. The week is concluded with a grand finale of fireworks and +the journey from July 4, 1776.

    It’s basically impossible to visit Philly without taking at least one bite out of a hoagie. In honor of our troops, Thursday, June 30th is Wawa Hoagie Day, from 12-1 pm attendees can enjoy Wawa Hoagies for free.

    There’s a brochure provided by Wawa Welcome America which provides a full schedule of the events and festivities that will be happening throughout the week. There will be a “Go 4th & workout like Rocky”, where you can train on the famous step from the classic film Rocky, followed by a showing of the film later that day. Explore the libraries, museums, and more. 

    Experience Benjamin Franklin Parkway on Independence Day, the day will include the July 4th concert with performances from Yazz The Greatest, Brotherly Love & Leon Bridges, and Philadelphia’s Leslie Odom Jr. After a week full of patriotic events, the grand finale will include fireworks and a historical walk down memory lane.   Visit Philly events to find out more.

  4. Coachella
