Greyhound Anticipates Successful Labor Day Weekend Travel

WHAT:
Greyhound Lines carried more than 470,000 passengers during the Labor Day holiday period in 1999. This year we anticipate carrying more than 500,000 passengers.

WHEN:
Greyhound passengers travel when they want to, with no restrictions on everyday low friendly fares. Unlike air travel, there are no advance-purchase requirements, no seat restrictions and no Saturday stayovers requirements.

WHERE:
With more than 3,700 locations, we connect rural North America to big cities. For fare and schedule information in the U.S., call Greyhound at 1-800-231-2222 or visit our Web site at www.greyhound.com.

WHY:
Our mission is to provide the opportunity for anyone to travel between cities in North America with safety, dignity and convenience.

HOW:
With more than 20,000 daily departures and 3,700 destinations in North America, Greyhound can take travelers where they want to go, when they want to get there, at a price they can afford. Our average ticket price is only $36.

TRAVEL TIPS:

  • Arrive at the terminal at least an hour before the scheduled departure time.
  • Put identification tags on all of your baggage with your full name and address.
  • Pack medications and valuables in your carry-on luggage and keep it with you at all times during your trip.
  • Bring snacks, reading material, radio headsets and a small pillow for your riding enjoyment.
