DALLAS (June 15, 2000) -Greyhound Lines, Inc. relocated its Melbourne, Florida terminal to the Melbourne International Airport today. The new location marks the 89th intermodal terminal for Greyhound.
The new intermodal, located at One Air Terminal Parkway, will be convenient for customers and will allow both Greyhound and the airport to benefit from each other's business. For example, the location will offer Flightlink, the company's airport service which connects small towns to major airports. The Flightlink service will connect many cities on the east coast of Florida, such as Fort Pierce, Vero Beach, Cocoa, Titusville and New Symrna Beach, to the Melbourne airport.
"Greyhound is a leader in the campaign to build new intermodals in communities across America that link all forms of transportation," said Emma Gray, district manger, customer service. "They are spreading across the country because they allow passengers to transfer easily between transit."
Greyhound will continue to operate 11 schedules daily, with destinations to Miami, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta and New York.
Greyhound Lines is the largest North American provider of intercity bus transportation, serving more than 3,700 destinations with 20,000 daily departures. The company also provides package and courier express service, charter and tour services, and food service at certain terminals.
