Greyhound and Peter Pan Expand Premium Express Service in Boston and New York, Adding Hartford, Conn. and Springfield, Mass.; Premium Service Provides Guaranteed Seats With Fares Starting at $1
 
DALLAS (Aug. 2, 2011) — Greyhound and Peter Pan Bus Lines today announced the companies are expanding their premium Express service in the Northeast by adding new routes from New York and Boston. Starting Aug. 16, customers can travel on Express from New York to Hartford, Conn. and Springfield, Mass. with eight daily round trips. Service between Boston and Hartford will start at three daily round trips, with plans to add more frequency by the end of the month. Fares start as low as $1 with guaranteed seats, and tickets are now on sale at www.mygreyhoundexpress.com and www.peterpanbus.com.

Express is a premium service that provides non-stop and direct service with a guaranteed seat for every customer. Customers ride on new, environmentally friendly buses equipped with onboard amenities such as free Wi-Fi, leather seats, extra legroom and power outlets. Express operates from dedicated gates and a private waiting area, where a guest services specialist provides an extra level of service for customers.

Greyhound first launched Express in December 2010. The service is now available in 20 markets in the Midwest and Northeast: Chicago; Milwaukee; Madison, Wis.; Minneapolis; Indianapolis; Lafayette, Ind.; Cincinnati; Champaign, Ill.; St. Louis; New York; Boston; Philadelphia; Washington, D.C.; Silver Spring, Md.; Newark, N.J.; Baltimore; Richmond, Va.; and Pittsburgh. Customers can buy their Express ticket online to take advantage of discount pricing, print their ticket at home, or pick it up at a self-service ticketing kiosk, and know a guaranteed seat is waiting for them.
