Greyhound Continues Improvement of Fleet with New Contract
DALLAS (March 31, 2010) – Greyhound Lines, Inc., the largest provider

of intercity bus transportation, recently awarded Motor Coach

Industries (MCI) a contract for 70 MCI® D4505 coaches. Delivery of

these motorcoaches will begin in June 2010.

“We are pleased to continue our long and well-established relationship

with MCI,” said Dave Leach, president and CEO of Greyhound. “These new

coaches will enhance the Greyhound experience to a new level of

comfort with the addition of free Wi-Fi, leather seating, power plug-

ins and extra legroom, offering a more luxurious travel experience for

our customers. In addition, we will continue to provide affordable and

environmentally friendly transportation.”

Greyhound’s new D4505 coaches will be equipped with three-point

seatbelts and plush leatherette passenger seating for 50, compared to

the typical 55-seat configuration, giving riders significantly more

legroom. Each new coach will also be equipped with a wheelchair lift.

“While Greyhound has several coach manufacturers from which to choose,

they have chosen to once again align with MCI,” said Tom Sorrells, MCI

president and CEO. “We’re honored that they have selected the MCI

D4505. The model’s proven reliability is due to our skilled Canadian

and U.S. workforce, and this order fuels our factory as well as those

of our suppliers. Furthermore, these coaches feature state-of-the-art

amenities and new clean-diesel engine technology to deliver a new

standard of comfort, safety and environmental friendliness for a

relaxing, greener way to ride.”

Greyhound’s relationship with MCI extends six decades, with nearly 90

percent of its fleet consisting of MCI motorcoaches. Greyhound

transports more than 22 million passengers each year and operates more

than 1,700 buses in 2,300 destinations throughout North America.
