DALLAS (Oct. 3, 2006) – Greyhound Lines, Inc., will join the Historically Black College and University (HBCU) Classic football scene this fall with its Greyhound Unleashed bus. The customized bus will make its way around the country to seven HBCU Classic games beginning in October.
The Unleashed bus, which features flat panel televisions, an Xbox 360, a state-of-the-art sound system and more will kickoff the HBCU tour at the Circle City Classic in Indianapolis, on Oct. 7. It will be located outside the stadium adding to the pre-game festivities that will take place.
“The Unleashed bus is a fun way to show our customers Greyhound has changed,” said Ricardo Rodriguez, marketing manager. “Our presence at the HBCU Classic games is another step in our efforts to showcase the new Greyhound to people, especially the college market.”
Fans will have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the game by sending text messages to Greyhound Unleashed ambassadors. After the game and festivities have ended, students can relive their unleashed moments by going to www.letsgodog.com, a community site where students can post videos and photos of recent events they have attended.
The Unleashed bus will make stops at other fall HBCU Classics including: Battle of the Bay Classic (Hampton, Va – Oct. 14); Morgan State Homecoming (Baltimore – Oct. 21); Magic City Classic (Birmingham, Ala. – Oct. 28); 17th Fountain City Classic (Columbus, Ga. – Nov. 4); 27th Annual Florida Classic (Orlando, Fla. – Nov. 18); and State Farm Bayou Classic (New Orleans – Nov. 25).
