Greyhound Relocates to the Intermodal Transportation Center in Fort Worth, TX
FORT WORTH, TX (June 9, 2006) – On June 12, Greyhound Lines, Inc. will move into the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) Intermodal Transportation Center (ITC) in Fort Worth, TX, located at 1001 Jones St. The T and Greyhound will hold a grand opening ceremony Friday, June 30, at 11 a.m. at the ITC.

Greyhound will share the facility with the T’s buses and Trinity Railway Express, Enterprise Rent-a-Car and Amtrak. In addition, Texas New Mexico & Oklahoma Coaches (TNM&O) and the Kerrville Bus Company also will use the Greyhound portion of the facility.

"Greyhound is excited to be a part of the Intermodal Transportation Center in downtown Fort Worth,” said Steve Gorman, president and CEO, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “The move allows our passengers easy connectivity to city transit and other modes of transportation in this beautiful facility.”

Greyhound offers 19 daily schedules to destinations across the United States from the ITC, including Houston, Amarillo, TX, and Shreveport, La. TNM&O will serve the terminal with seven daily schedules, and Kerrville Bus Company has two daily schedules. The terminal will be open 24 hours every day.

"We are pleased to welcome Greyhound to Fort Worth's transportation hub," said Dick Ruddell, president and executive director of The T. "The addition of Greyhound completes the goal to make the center fully intermodal, allowing customers to make connections from bus to trains for travel virtually anywhere in the United States."

Located about three blocks from the former Greyhound terminal at 901 Commerce St., the ITC provides Greyhound PackageXpress (GPX) shipping and package pick-up and delivery. For ticket information in Fort Worth, call 817-429-3089.

“Not only will Greyhound customers have easy connections around Fort Worth through service from The T, they will also have an improved experience with Greyhound because of our recently implemented ‘Elevate Everything’ program in Texas,” said Gorman. “Greyhound passengers will experience more comfortable, refurbished buses, enhanced customer service, giveaways for children through the Traveling Kids Club, and more.”
