DALLAS (June 2, 2006) – Greyhound is set to tip off its next phase of the Greyhound Unleashed tour on Sunday, June 4, at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, California. The Unleashed Greyhound bus, customized by radio and television personality Funkmaster Flex, is teaming up with the AND 1 Mix Tape Tour 2006 for a 25-city tour across the United States.
In each city, the grassroots marketing campaign of Greyhound Unleashed will go courtside to reach urban youth. At each stop, visitors can check out the customized bus that features black leather seating, flat panel televisions, Xbox 360 gaming stations, a state-of-the-art sound system and much more. Participants also can see the latest AND 1 gear, listen to good music, participate in a freestyle rap contest and spend time at the Circuit City and AND 1 gaming stations setup outside the bus.
“Teaming up with AND 1 gives Greyhound another opportunity to expose urban youth to the changing face of Greyhound,” said Toby Purdy, senior vice president of marketing, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “With this phase of the Greyhound Unleashed tour, many people across the country will have the chance to see the cooler side of Greyhound. It’s something completely unexpected of a bus company always known for affordable travel.”
