DALLAS (Feb. 20, 2006) – On Feb. 22, Greyhound Lines, Inc. will move into a new, temporary facility in Tucson, Ariz., located at 471 West Congress St. at Central Ave. Greyhound is working with the City of Tucson on a permanent facility at the 6th and Toole location and will operate out of the interim location for about two years. Texas, New Mexico & Oklahoma Coaches (TNM&O), a Greyhound subsidiary, and Crucero will also operate out of the facility.
"Greyhound is excited to continue serving the Tucson community in our temporary home while the permanent facility is being built,” said Steve Gorman, president and CEO, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “The interim location is more convenient to passengers, with easy access, and it is clearly visible from I-10.”
The interim facility offers nine daily Greyhound schedules to destinations across the United States, including Phoenix, Los Angeles and a special fare of $53 to Las Vegas. Hours are 7 a.m. until midnight.
Located about a mile from the former terminal at 2 S. 4th Ave. in Tucson, the interim location provides Greyhound PackageXpress (GPX) shipping, package pick-up and delivery and food service. For ticket information in Tucson, call 520-792-3475.
