Greyhound Resumes Limited Daily Service Between New Orleans and Mobile; Frequency of Service Between New Orleans and Houston Also Increases
 
DALLAS (Dec. 7, 2005) – Greyhound Lines, Inc. is resuming limited daily service between New Orleans, and Mobile, Ala., on Dec. 7, providing a needed intercity bus connection between New Orleans and the Southeast.

One schedule, with assistance provided by Capital Colonial Trailways, departs each city daily. Passengers depart Mobile at 4:45 a.m., while Mobile-bound buses leave New Orleans at 9:15 a.m. Each route includes stops in Biloxi and Gulfport, Miss., and Slidell, La.

“Greyhound is very pleased to resume service between New Orleans and the Southeast,” said Ted Burk, vice president of operations, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “From the very beginning, Greyhound has provided assistance to those who have been affected by this season’s hurricanes. We are doing everything we can to help the citizens of this region restore their normal lives.”

In addition, on Dec. 14 Greyhound will add two schedules to the recently resumed limited daily service between New Orleans and Houston. One route originating in New Orleans will depart at 8 a.m., and the trip departing Houston will leave at 1 a.m. Both schedules make a stop in Baton Rouge, La.

Passengers departing New Orleans can board at the Main Station, located at 1001 Loyola Ave.

Limited public transportation is available in New Orleans. Greyhound recommends all passengers have their transportation to and from the terminal pre-arranged prior to departing from their original location.
