Greyhound Vacations Gearing Up To Offer Vacation Solutions For Every Budget
DALLAS (Oct. 16, 2000) - Greyhound Travel Services, a unit of Greyhound Lines, Inc., will begin offering vacation packages in the United States and Canada. Tours will initially operate primarily from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New Orleans, Vancouver, Toronto and the Canadian Rockies.

"Through fleet optimization, internal growth and strategic acquisitions, we are assembling a first-class charter and tour operation," said Gordon Barr, senior vice president, charters and tours for North America. "We can accommodate any need from a pre-cruise sightseeing tour to an all-inclusive vacation."

Available packages cover the entire range of prices and perks. For example, a two-night excursion to Niagara Falls from Toronto, which includes round-trip transportation, accommodations and admittance to several local attractions, begins at CDN $230 per person.

On the other end of the spectrum is the six-night tour of New Orleans offered exclusively through the Neiman Marcus catalog. Among other things, this lavish tour includes a seaplane tour, golfing at English Turn, a personal fashion show and a chauffeured Rolls Royce. This week of pampering can be had for a mere USD $16,490 per person.

Additional tours and destinations are currently in development for the 2001 season, including spring, summer and fall. New service will include cities such as New York City, Washington D.C., Chicago and Branson, Mo. The complete 2001 season will be announced at the National Tour Association Annual Convention to be held in Salt Lake City Nov. 10-15.
