Greyhound and Amtrak Partner to Offer Thruway Service between Toronto and Chicago

DALLAS (Aug. 13, 2015) –, Greyhound today announced it has expanded its Thruway service in partnership with Amtrak, offering bus transportation for Amtrak customers to various destinations between Toronto, and Chicago, ultimately providing access to Greyhound’s extensive network of more than 3,800 destinations throughout Canada, the United States and Mexico.

Amtrak customers can set their sights on more Canadian destinations, such as London, Windsor and Toronto through this partnership with Greyhound.  Customers will enjoy traveling on modern Greyhound buses equipped with premium amenities, such as free Wi-Fi, power outlets, leather seats, and extra legroom.  

Amtrak customers can connect to Thruway bus service at Chicago is Union Station or at the recently-opened  John D. Dingell Transit Center in Dearborn, Mich., within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and businesses, as well as the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. The Rouge River Gateway Greenway is also nearby.  Amtrak Wolverine Service trains between Dearborn and Chicago offer wide, comfortable reclining seats with ample legroom for your comfort.  Fold-down trays, individual reading lights and 120v electric outlets are at every seat, along with free Wi-Fi and a café car with food and beverage service on each train.
