    There are some exciting things to do in San Diego this holiday season!

    November 19 - January 7

    Global Winter Wonderland - This holiday festival will leave you in awe after seeing the variety of activities and holiday celebrations all in one place. You don’t want to miss out on the multi-cultural celebrations featuring illuminating landscapes, acrobatics reflective of Cirque du Soleil, games, food from around the globe, and more. Tickets to the dazzling show are available for purchase now and can be purchased here.  

    December 2 – December 3

    December Nights at Balboa Park - Stop by Balboa Park and enjoy the heart of the holidays with the city. Starting December 2nd and ending December 3rd, you’ll be able to see an array of illuminations and lights shows, food, shopping and entertainment from the best performers in San Diego. It’s the 40th year of this celebration and the free festival with dancers, choirs, and bands is the perfect way to get in the Holiday Spirit. 

    December 10 & December 17

    The 46th Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights -  Visit the Port of San Diego on December 10th with over 100,000 San Diego residents to admire the Annual San Diego Bay Parade of Lights. Eighty boats will be adorned with lavish decorations fitting this year’s theme, Arrrgh! A Pirate’s Christmas, and every boat owner has a chance to win the grand prize. The award for best and most creative boat presented in January 2018, but you can still pick your personal favorite in the meantime. There will be two parades this year, the first on December 2nd and the last on December 17th, both starting at 5 p.m., so don’t be late.

    Here are some exciting beach activities that help channel your adventurous side!

    Known for their beautiful beaches, California has plenty of beach to go around and they won’t leave you disappointed. Discover larger than life sea cliffs and stunning sand coves. Be sure to bring your camera to take pictures of all the sites you discover while visiting La Jolla.

    Don't forget to head over to La Jolla Kayak and let your adventurous side come to life. From kayaks to snorkel gear to bicycles, La Jolla Kayak has it all. Take a bike ride along the beach or enjoy the La Jolla kayak cave tour where you may see some sea creatures along the way.     Visit the iconic Mission Beach to see more of California’s beach beauty. Mission Beach has picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and San Diego shoreline. If you are seeking thrills while visiting the beach, visit Belmont Park, which features thrilling rides such as the Giant Dipper Rollercoaster. Then cool off with a Monster Ice Cream Cone at The Sweet Shoppe & Beach Treats.

    For more adventurous activities visit Cheap Rentals by Mission Beach. Rent everything from skateboards and rollerblades to a beach cruiser bike. While you skate or bike down the boardwalk, be sure to enjoy the panoramic views of the beach. If you like adventurous water activities, rent a surfboard or paddle board and give the beach waves a go!

    With over 80 stores and restaurants this beautiful outdoor mall, has limitless options on what you can see or buy. With a LEGO® store for the kids, Forever 21 and H&M for the teens, and Macy’s, Michael Kors and Apple store for mom and dad, Fashion Valley has something to offer the whole family. Not to mention, that the outdoor mall has multiple delicious restaurants such as California Pizza Kitchen and Rubio’s Baja Grill. Finish the day by grabbing frozen yogurt at the famous Pinkberry, which will end your day on a sweet note!

    Westfield Horton Plaza is another outdoor mall where you can not only shop but be pampered, as well.
