International Civil Rights Center & Museum
The International Civil Rights Museum is dedicated to the struggle of the civil rights ear and an ode to the Greensboro Four’s contribution. In 1960, there were a series of nonviolent protests and sit-ins that served as a catalyst for the civil rights movement. The sit-ins happened in the former lunch counter F.W. Woolworth’s that is now the same building that the International Civil Rights Center & Museum is in now. The historic site is a city and country favorite and you can’t beat the experiences you’ll have once you’re there.

Famous Waffles And Brews
Dame’s Chicken And Waffles
Dame’s “Almost Famous” Chicken & Waffles may not be the originator of chicken in waffles, but they have so many different spins on the classics dish you will be close to giving them the crown after taking a taste of their menu selections. Not only have they perfected chicken & waffles and different varieties of both the chicken and waffle, but they added an additional topper to ensure they’re dishes are one-of-a-kind, they like to call those toppers “shmears”. Shmears are flavored butter, but this place promises they’re so good they’ll make you forget about the syrup. Shmear flavors come in strawberry-crème, chocolate-hazelnut, maple-pecan, vanilla-almond, and many more. As there are various flavors of butter, there are various flavors of waffles. The waffle flavors range from classic to sweet potato, gingerbread, fresh organic blueberry, and vegan.
