Greyhound Expands Service in Massachusetts

Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America, today announced its expansion in Massachusetts with a new stop at the Framingham Intermodal Center in Framingham, Mass. In partnership with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority (MWRTA), this new stop enables customers to travel conveniently to locations such as Boston, Sturbridge, Springfield, Lee, Pittsfield and Albany, while providing access to Greyhound’s extensive network of more than 3,800 destinations across the United States and Canada.
“We are confident Greyhound’s partnership with the MetroWest Regional Transit Authority will be a beneficial one, providing a wider range of travel options for Framingham residents,” said Mike Fleischhauer, northeast regional vice president, Greyhound Lines, Inc.  “By providing easier access to surrounding areas, we are excited to continue serving customers throughout the Northeast.”

“The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority is thrilled to partner up with a nationally recognized transportation company like Greyhound, and make Framingham Intermodal truly intermodal,” said Ed Carr, MWRTA Administrator.

From Framingham Intermodal, customers will have seamless connectivity to the local MetroWest bus system, Commuter Rail, and Amtrak service in one convenient downtown location. Greyhound will offer one eastbound schedule in the morning and one westbound schedule in the afternoon. To purchase tickets, visit or call 1-800-231-2222.

About MetroWest Regional Transit Authority
The MetroWest Regional Transit Authority was formed in 2006 by the state legislature to help serve the public transportation needs of the 32-town corridor known as the I-495/MetroWest corridor. Framingham Intermodal was the result of a lease agreement with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in October of 2016, which transferred management of the Framingham Commuter Rail Station to the MWRTA. The MWRTA is continuously looking to add new transit connections and customer amenities to Framingham Intermodal.
