Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America, today announced it has expanded service in the Northeast from Union Station in Worcester, Mass. Located at 2 Washington Square, Greyhound has increased non-stop service to Boston and added Hartford, Conn., Springfield, Mass. and New York to its list of destinations served from Worcester. For New York, customers can choose between Greyhound’s Express service to the New York Port Authority Bus Terminal or the George Washington Bridge Bus Station.
“We want to offer customers more choices to travel while taking advantage of our low fares and premium on-board experience,” said Andy Kaplinsky, chief commercial officer, Greyhound Lines, Inc. “Greyhound will continue to deliver everyday low prices on these routes, providing Worcester customers connections to our national network of more than 3,800 destinations. As we continue to expand our service in the Northeast, we hope to offer additional routes to and from Worcester in the near future.”
Customers now also have access to E-Ticketing, where they can quickly and easily purchase tickets from Greyhound.com and board the bus with just a flash of their mobile phones.
While on board, riders will travel in comfort on modern buses with free Wi-Fi, power outlets, reclining leather seats and extra legroom. In addition, the company is adding new buses in the Northeast, which will be equipped with on-board entertainment systems that enable customers to enjoy movies and television shows, play games, surf the Web, and read the latest news – all completely free and all from their own Wi-Fi enabled devices including laptops, tablets or smartphones.
Customers also will have access to Greyhound Package Express, Greyhound’s low-cost shipping service.
Travelers can purchase tickets online at Greyhound.com or the mobile app, over the phone at 1-800-231-2222 or at their local station.
