DALLAS (Mar. 15, 2017) – Greyhound’s Vice President of Customer Experience Myron Watkins, Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and Councilmember Richard Fimbres celebrated the opening of the new Greyhound terminal in Tucson, Ariz. with a grand opening celebration on March 14. The new terminal, beginning service today, is located at 801 E. 12th Street and marks the sixth terminal in the Arizona market.
Located near the University of Arizona and retail centers, the new Tucson terminal is 2,400 square feet and offers three bus bays complete with covered loading areas. It offers ample free parking space which makes it easy for customers to be picked up or dropped off. The exterior features a modern, sleek design complete with Low-E glass for energy conservation, while inside the terminal, customers may enjoy free Wi-Fi along with electronic device charging stations.
"We are excited to open our new Tucson terminal," said Watkins at the opening ceremony. "We look forward to offering the Tucson community a low-cost, stress-free opportunity to explore new destinations, as well as bringing more travelers to this wonderful city."
"This is a great move for Greyhound, coming to this central location near the University and Downtown Links," said Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild. "It also helps the city by making the former temporary Greyhound site available for development."
