Greyhound Canada Relocates to the Edmonton VIA Rail Station
BURLINGTON (May 26, 2016) – Greyhound Canada today announced it will start operations from a new location in Edmonton, Alberta on Sunday, May 29, 2016. Greyhound customers can conveniently board at the Edmonton VIA Rail station located at 12360 – 121st Street NW, about five kilometers from Greyhound’s former location at 10324 – 103rd Street. The new location is an intermodal facility, which allows customers to seamlessly connect to VIA Rail Canada.
“Greyhound is excited to move to our new location and to share the facility with VIA Rail Canada,” said Peter Hamel, regional vice president, Greyhound Canada. “Customers can now access Greyhound and VIA Rail under the same roof making it more convenient for travel.”
While Greyhound’s new location is no longer in the downtown area, Greyhound has a dedicated cab service provider that will provide all essential in-city travel requirements and specific hotel drop-offs, and will also provide Sky Shuttle service to the airport. In addition to cab services, Greyhound will be providing customer downtown drop-offs and pick-ups twice daily at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. to the transit bus slip in front of the Edmonton Welcome Center at 9797 Jasper Ave.
From Edmonton, Greyhound offers 17 schedules to destinations including Calgary, Jasper and Fort McMurray where customers can then connect to its extensive network of 3,800 destinations across North America. It is open 6 a.m. – 1 a.m. Monday-Friday and 7 a.m. – 1 a.m. on Sunday and holidays. The GPX facility,Greyhound’s package shipping service, is located at 12521 – 123rd Street. It is open 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday and holidays. For ticket information, call 1-800-661-8747.
