But their tricks with a basketball aren't the only thing the team plans to showcase for the students. The Globetrotters incorporate their signature ball handling skills into character lessons the students can take back to their school with their community outreach program, "The ABCs of Bullying Prevention.""The Harlem Globetrotters are more than just entertaining basketball players. One of the most rewarding things we do is talk to kids," said Globetrotters Showman Hi-Lite Bruton. "We like to reach kids early in their lives and give them character-building tools to be upstanding members of society."
Whether it's because of a bus or a basketball, both Greyhound and the Globetrotters help bring families together, creating lasting memories."We know inviting the Harlem Globetrotters to our terminal is always an exciting opportunity for students and the customers passing through during their trip," said Evan Burak, regional vice president, Greyhound Lines, Inc. "These appearances give the kids an opportunity to see these athletes in a way they might not get the chance to otherwise. Not to mention any customers waiting to board their bus get to see the show before heading out of town, which is always a fun surprise."
