DALLAS (Feb. 10, 2014) — Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation, today announced the company will be recognized Feb. 24 by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) at the 57th annual Adrian Awards Gala, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally. Greyhound won a Silver Adrian Award in digital marketing for its work creating and transforming its blog, The Hound, into a trusted platform for the latest travel information, advice and trends that millions of customers have come to rely on.
Greyhound was one of more than 1,200 entrants for the annual Adrian Awards, which focuses on compelling work in advertising, digital marketing and public relations and categorizes awards into Bronze, Silver and Gold levels.
With a complete overhaul of the brand and the launch of its premium Greyhound Express service, Greyhound was seeking a way to inspire travelers while offering up-to-date information on routes and improvements in Greyhound amenities the company offers. Greyhound partnered with agency of record, Edelman, to spearhead extensive market research and launch a new online community for domestic travelers. The result was The Hound, which launched in October 2012.
