DALLAS (May 22, 2000) -- Greyhound Lines, Inc. is an official transportation sponsor for Mayor Campbell's Senior Citizen Ball in Atlanta.
On Tuesday, Greyhound will contribute 15 charter buses to take seniors from different areas in Atlanta to the Ball at the Hyatt Regency on 265 Peachtree Street Northeast.
"The Ball is an event that seniors in Atlanta look forward to every year," said Ron Jasper, district manager, district 3, driver operations. "Seniors are an important group to Greyhound and our participation with this event enables seniors to attend the party every year that otherwise might not have been able to travel to the event."
The Ball is expected to draw 5,000 seniors from the Atlanta area this year and will include dancing and entertainment.
Greyhound Lines is the largest North American provider of intercity bus transportation, serving more than 3,700 destinations with 20,000 daily departures. The company also provides package and courier express service, charter and tour services, and food service at certain terminals.
